
Graduate of Kamehameha Schools and Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah, Amalie Monlux will continue her second year to obtain her Master’s in Public Health. She received a Gerontology Certificate with her Bachelor’s in Physical Education in 2005. She has focused her research on prevention and maintenance of chronic disease and hopes to work with the elderly in leading long, healthy lives.

Born and raised in California, Romney Skeem graduated from Redwood High School, received her Bachelors in Science, Marriage, Family and Human Development at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 2004 and received a minor and Certification in Gerontology. She has continued her interest in working with the elderly here in Hawaii through her course work and practicum experience.
